The Board of Professors of the Ph.D program in Business Admiinistration and Management meets periodically to:
- Assign one or more supervisors to each Ph.D student to support them in their research activities;
- Plan the didactical and research activities of the doctoral program;
- Define the admission procedure for the program and choose the members of the examination committees;
- Annually evaluate the fulfillment of the didactical obligations of the Ph.D students*;
- Exclude Ph.D students from the program due to a negative assessment in the annual evaluation;
- Authorize activities in compliance with the attendance of the Ph.D program;
- Authorize extensions and/or suspensions of the Ph.D program;
- Propose to the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Pisa the annual activation of the Ph.D program and the number of places available, the signature of agreements or jointly Ph.D programs.
*At the end of each academic year, and after the opinion of the supervisor, the Board of Professors verifies the the fulfillment of the didactical and research activities of each Ph.D student, according to the followings:
- Check of attendance of 80% at least of the scheduled lessons;
- Check of passing the scheduled assignments;
- Analysis of the final report that Ph.D students must submit by October 31 of each year, including the activities carried out, the lessons attended, the participation in scientific conferences, any publications, and other activities.
